Android Central reports that some Galaxy S24 users say their phones are experiencing severe battery drain after installing One UI 9. One Galaxy S24 Ultra user reportedly saw the battery drop 95% in five hours and twenty minutes after "heavy use," with a little over three hours of screen-on time; Android Central notes the drain appears excessive and it is unclear how widespread the problem is.

The outlet also cites reports involving Galaxy S25 users, including one claim of a 40% drop over almost 11 hours while idle and another user saying they had to charge multiple times a day. Android Central says it has not noticed significant battery changes in its own Galaxy S25 Ultra, and some users have not reported vastly different battery experiences.

Separately, Android Central reports one Korean Galaxy S26 user said they could not reach the lock and home screens after updating, receiving a "webpage unavailable" error. Samsung reportedly advised ensuring the browser is updated and switching to a stable Wi-Fi connection, according to the outlet. Scope of the issues is not established.
