Report: Gemini Notebook now available as Connected App for deeper integration

9to5Google reported on Oct. 23, 2026, that Gemini Notebook is now available as a Connected App in the Gemini app for deeper integration. The outlet said Notebooks were already available in the Gemini app side panel.

According to the report, the Connected App lets users manage and query notebooks directly within chats using natural language, including retrieving information from existing notebooks, creating new ones, adding sources, and saving notes. 9to5Google said the Gemini app will automatically detect when to use the Gemini Notebook Connected App for relevant prompts.

9to5Google reported the integration is available now and enabled by default for users globally, except in the European Economic Area, where it is off by default. The outlet said it is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
