Android Central reports that Samsung is expanding the stable One UI 9 update, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy A36 in global markets. The outlet says Europe is among the first regions outside South Korea to receive it, with the rollout starting October 19.

The report lists firmware version A366BXXUCDZIF for the global rollout and says the download is over 2.3GB and includes the September 2026 security patch. Android Central also reports a first stable release in South Korea on October 15 with firmware A366NKSU9DZIF.

According to the outlet, the Galaxy A36 update is rolling out alongside updates for Galaxy A56, A37 and A27. Android Central notes that a global rollout does not mean every country gets it at once and that some owners may wait days or longer; it also says more advanced Galaxy AI features remain largely limited to compatible higher-end phones.
