Android Central reported on a social-media rumor from tipster TheGalox, via 9to5Google, claiming Samsung may prepare its “biggest foldable lineup ever” in 2027. As reported, the rumor mentions a Galaxy Z TriFold 2, a Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and a “Galaxy Z Slide.” The outlet notes that details about some of these devices are unclear.
Android Central reported that Samsung currently offers the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra and Flip 8, and that a Flip 9 is also expected. The outlet said it is unclear how a rumored Fold 9 Pro would be positioned between a Fold 9 and Fold 9 Ultra. It also noted that Samsung Display showed “Slidable Flex Duet” and “Slidable Flex Solo” concepts at CES 2025, while whether Samsung develops them remains to be seen.
The article also reported rumors that a TriFold sequel could debut in 2027 with a thinner, lighter and more durable design, and that its price might remain $2,800. Android Central described the slide concept as interesting but cautioned that concepts do not always transfer well into reality.
