GSMArena reports that new MIIT listings in China suggest the Samsung Galaxy S27+ will not support UWB, a connectivity feature the outlet says has been present since the Galaxy S21+. The report says the Galaxy S27 series is expected to include four phones: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra, with only the Pro and Ultra listed as supporting UWB.

According to GSMArena, the vanilla Galaxy S27 also will not get UWB, which the outlet says is unsurprising because none of its predecessors had it. GSMArena adds that the Galaxy S27 series is expected in early 2027 and that a mistake in the listing remains possible.

GSMArena reports that omitting UWB would mean the Galaxy S27+ cannot support precise tracking with Samsung's SmartTag 3 and similar accessories, relying instead on Bluetooth 6.0 positioning, which the outlet describes as far less accurate.
