In a report dated Oct. 12, 2026, Android Central said Google has added the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL to its Certified Refurbished program in the U.S. Prices start at $499 for the Pixel 9, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL cost $649 and $699, respectively. At the time, the base Pixel 9 appeared to be out of stock, while some configurations of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL were still available, Android Central reported.
According to Android Central, Google says every Certified Refurbished Pixel goes through a multi-point inspection and quality checks covering the battery, display, housing, and cameras. Google says it uses genuine replacement parts if repairs or replacements are needed, and the phones include a one-year limited warranty. Android Central reported that Google is also offering buyers a free six-month Google AI Plus subscription with 2TB of cloud storage that can be shared across Google services.
Android Central noted the regular Pixel 9 originally launched for $799. Android Central described them as pre-owned Pixel smartphones that have been professionally inspected, tested, and restored to meet Google's quality standards.
