Apple has started selling certified refurbished Studio Display XDR units through its US online store, MacRumors reported on July 29, 2026. According to the report, this is the first time the display has appeared in Apple's refurbished lineup since its launch in March, and listings also extend to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and some other countries. MacRumors listed a refurbished unit with a VESA mount adapter and standard glass at $2,459, against $2,899 new, and a unit with the tilt- and height-adjustable stand and standard glass at $2,799, against $3,299 new. Both work out to roughly 15 percent off, which the outlet described as typical for Apple's refurbished pricing. Nano-texture glass configurations were also listed at a discount, though the report did not state those prices.

For a US buyer weighing a refurbished high-end display, the main change is that the manufacturer itself is now a source for this model rather than only third-party resellers. MacRumors noted that Apple says refurbished units go through functionality testing, cleaning and inspection, ship in a plain white box with a Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable, and carry Apple's one-year limited warranty with the option to add AppleCare+. Those are Apple's own descriptions of its process, not independent findings. Rebuya's Studio Display XDR model page can be used to compare what other refurbished sellers charge for the same configurations, and the monitors category page shows how this display sits against other large 5K and mini-LED screens. The Apple company page on Rebuya is the place to check warranty length and return terms against other sellers, which is a useful check alongside the headline discount.

The report does not say how many refurbished units Apple has in stock, how long they will remain available, or whether the prices quoted on July 29 still apply. It does not give exact prices for nano-texture configurations, and it does not describe the cosmetic condition of the units beyond Apple's general statements. It also does not compare Apple's refurbished pricing with what other US refurbishers or retailers charge for the same display, and it does not say whether the refurbished units differ from new ones in any way other than packaging. Buyers should treat the figures as a snapshot of Apple's store on the article date rather than a standing offer.
